Version 2.0 is designed to update automatically at
no charge. Version 1.0 can not be updated to Version
2.0. Updates will be made to LitePro 2.0 as new
features are added to the program and additions are
made to the database.
LitePro Version 2.0 is designed to update automatically.
If you are using LitePro Version 2.0, you should utilize
the “Updates” function of the main LitePro menu.
The automatic update provides several advantages
over copying the files from this site:
- LitePro 2.0 automatically determines if an update
is available.
- You do not have to know the location of the program
or database files on your computer or network.
- LitePro 2.0 will remind you to check for updates
at any frequency you wish.
- The automatic update is faster than manually copying
files.
- The automatic update is less prone to errors than
manually copying files.
If your network firewall, or some other circumstance,
prevents LitePro from automatically updating, you
may need to utilize this Web Site to download the
necessary update files. In this event, follow the
instructions below.
Note: files obtained from this site will not update
LitePro Version 1.0.
Determining the version of LitePro 2.0 installed:

Open LitePro 2.0 and click on the “Help”
menu item and the “About” menu item. The
“About” window will appear. Note the
program
version number and the database (DB) version number. |
Updates available
The latest program version is 2.025 and the latest
version of the database is VER0224. If your program
or database version is less than the latest version,
an update is available. Please update the program
before updating the database. If the database is
updated without updating the program, LitePro may
fail to run.
Updating the LitePro 2.0 program:
- Click on the link Download LproUpdate and follow
the instructions to download the update to the
folder where LitePro 2.0 is installed, generally
“C:\program files\LitePro2.”
- Insure all programs, including LitePro, are shut
down.
- Run the LproUpdate.exe file to update your program.
If the LProUpdate.exe file is not in the LitePro
folder the update will not be correct or an error
will occur during the update. If LitePro is not
updated to the latest version or an error occurs
during the update, make certain the LproUpdate.exe
file is located in the LitePro2 folder and repeat
the process.
- Please note that some versions of the database
are not compatable with this program update. It
is recommended that the database be updated at
the same time the program is updated.
LproUpdate
Updating the LitePro 2.0 database:
Each version of the database has an appropriate patch
that will update that version of the database to
the latest available database. To download the appropriate
patch, click on the button next to the database
version you have installed on your computer or network
and follow the onscreen instructions. It is recommended
that you download the file to the folder where the
database is installed. On a stand-alone version
of LitePro 2.0 the database will generally be in
“C:\program files\LitePro2\DB.” For a network
installation the database may be installed on a
common network drive and the update patch should
be downloaded to that folder.
There are NO Database updates at this point
To download the appropriate patch, click on the button
next to the database version you have installed on
your computer or network and follow the onscreen
instructions.
